Kalleload is maintained by Tuxxedo and developed by Kalle.
It has been Kalle’s “child” for many years now, and started out on his personal playground “Codename Tgrklanen” on the subdomain load.codename-tgrklanen.net.
Changes
During November 2008 we’ve restored the old files from load.codename-tgrklanen.net and redirected the DNS to Kalleload to create backwards compatibility to old links using the c-tgr.net domain link.
As Kalle has stopped paying to the c-tgr.net domain, the sub domain is no longer in use.
During the DNS change, we’ve added a ‘shortcut’ so users can access the files from kalleload.net/u/<file>.
Purpose
Kalleload serves the purpose of uploading files and make them available from anywhere.
We alow the users to post the links to the files anywhere without linking back to the main site (also known as deep linking).
We have no time limit on how long we store each file, and have no plans to put a time limit on.
Development
Development stopped in 2007, but the website is still updated if there should be found a bug or another problem.
It’s still being discussed if Kalleload should be ported to run on Engine.
Statistics
As of December 2008; Kalleload hosts 3950 files with a total filesize of 1,5GB.
It gets between 2000-3,500 hits/day and pulls from 5GB to 15GB bandwidth in a month.
As of July 2012; kalleload now hosts 10000 files (+ the old files from c-tgr.net), giving a total of 7,50 GB data hosted, including all thumbnails.
Bandwidth is stable around 9-10GB/month.
Abuse & Copyright
Kalleload (or Tuxxedo) doesn’t allow upload of files which is protected by copyright, if the copyright holder havn’t approved.
If a submitted file is infringing your copyright and you want it to be removed, please send a mail to antispam@tuxxedo.net with a full link to the file, a description of what content that’s infringed and a ‘valid’ e-mail or address so we can verify your identity.
